What Is Boltless Shelving?
Boltless shelving uses a plug-in design or rivets to connect beams and columns, instead of using standard bolts, and nuts or relying on welding for assembly.
They can quickly assemble and disassemble with a rubber mallet. There are many types of boltless shelving, such as slotted rack, rivet shelving, long span boltless shelving, hidden hole boltless shelving, and wire deck boltless shelving. They all consist of three parts: columns, horizontal beams, and decking.
How Does Boltless Shelving Work?
Also known as rivet shelving or slotted shelving, rivet shelving is assembled by sliding the riveted ends of the horizontal beams into inverted gourd holes on the vertical posts to create interlocking units in nearly any configuration. Slotted shelving is assembled by inserting the tips of the horizontal beams into the slots on the vertical posts, and then tapping them tightly.
No fasteners and no complicated tools are required, all you may need is a rubber mallet! Boltless also means you can easily adjust the height of individual shelves by simply moving the crossbar up or down to the next slot.

How do you assemble 5 layers boltless rivet shelving?
Before putting the workzone 5 tier shelving together begin by organizing the components into groups to make assembly faster and easier.
1. Begin by attaching the rubber feet.
Then start gathering the bottom shelving to help with getting the beams for each shelving up the right way. Make sure the triangle of the beam is facing out.
2. Put the upright up, insert the rivet on the long beam into the top of the inverted gourd hole on the upright, then slide it down to the bottom of the gourd hole until it locks securely into place.
3. Install the other long beam and two short beams on this layer in the same way.
4. Now you can properly install the rest of the shelf.
5. Assemble the middle shelf. Connect the uprights with the connector pins, then add the top upright, and add the remaining parts at your required heights.
6. Next, add the middle crossbar.
7. Finish with the MDF shelves.
8. Ensure your shelving is on a flat floor for maximum loading and safety.
